George Washington was one of the establishing male parents of the United States of America. He
served as commander-in-chief of the Continental ground forces during the Revolutionary War, and subsequently
served as the first president of the United States. His ideas and thoughts helped model the United
States into the great state that it is today.
George Washington was born on February 22, 1732 in Westmoreland County, Virginia.
He was the eldest boy of Augustine Washington and Mary Ball Washington. He received no
formal instruction, but he read geographics, military history, agribusiness, demeanor, and
composing. Washington subsequently developed a powerful and convincing manner of address and authorship.
He enjoyed athleticss and societal occasions, and he subsequently became a surveyor for landholders on the
